Norway was my first international trip and was a very fun and interesting place to visit. While I will say that it is very Americanized (everything, for the most part, in English), it was very quaint, fun and a beautiful place to be.

Our trip started in Oslo. Oslo is a “big city” in Norway but feels like a much smaller town overall. This was the view from our hotel room.

This clock in Oslo was from many years ago when it sounded to let workers know that it was time to come to work.

The area has local coffee shops, Starbucks and many other little shops. It’s very walkable and beautiful.

If you have a chance, I recommend Vigeland (also in Oslo). It’s a free sculpture park and has really interesting art.

It’s our tradition on trips to try to find waterfalls. This is Akerselva Park in Oslo. It’s hidden away but very cute and walkable.

Kristiansand was a beautiful place and the street art was outstanding.

Stavanger was amazing and had my favorite little coffee and pastry shop. If you’ve never had a Princessbolle, might I recommend.

Svard i fell was a really cool Viking monument outside of Stavanger

Bergen’s stacked houses/buildings were absolutely beautiful.

Bergen buildings and houses go all the way up the hill. Incredible.

Stave churches are all over. This one was in Balestrand.

This is the view from the Balestrand room. Gorgeous and quiet town.

This is inside the gorgeous stave church in Balestrand.
