One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned in life is that it gets better. As someone who has dealt with anxiety for the greater part of my adult life, sometimes it’s hard in the moment to remember that things get better when you’re in the trenches. In the darkest moments, sometimes it’s easy to forget how much you matter or just how wonderful you are.
Here’s the thing…..
You matter.
Let me say that again, louder for the people in the back…..
You matter!
You are the only you in the this world that will ever be. No matter how dark it seems or how lonely you feel, I want you to know that you matter to me. I want to hear your thoughts and how you look at the world. I want to treasure all of the wonderful things, both large and small, that make you who you are. And believe me when I say, I’m not alone in this world in this outlook. You are unique and wonderful and you are part of this world that can never be replaced.
So if you’re facing something challenging and you’re not sure you can overcome, talk to someone. If you can’t find someone you trust, talk to a medical professional, talk to a counselor, you’re not being judged. You’re being valued and seen for who you are and how you can beat this struggle together. If you are struggling to find someone, talk to me. I might not be able to solve your problem but we can work on finding a solution together.
The point is that we are all in this together. Life is too much sometimes for everyone and some of us struggle more than others to be able to process it but it DOES get better. Please don’t let anyone dim your light.
